I’m reading a book of essays written by lesbian teachers and students (I may have mentioned it before). They speak about their experiences coming out, being loved/discriminated against, and what they have learned thus far.
Nearly every story chokes me up because of how beautiful these women are. And it makes me want to pursue graduate school even more so that I may teach and educate young people about feminism, gender, equality, etc.
Even if it were just one student that I reach..it would be worth it. A thousand times over.
